“Frozen” Recap

Monday, February 4th, 2008

We open with a really, REALLY frozen wasteland and a lot of wind machines (to catch the energy). It looks like a man is checking things out and headed back to a huge snowmobile type thing. Suddenly one of the wind machines falls off and a blade hits him in the leg, complete with blood spurts. A woman comes running out (I can only tell she’s a woman because she’s thinner – they’re both covered in snow clothes). She says that the bleeding has stopped because the ice was freezing the blood. The blade cut the femeral artery and she repairs it using glue. They duct tape the leg and when she tries to help him up she falls down, writhes in pain, vomits, and says she needs help.

We’re back at PP where House is trying to watch TV in a patient’s bedroom (that he can’t watch because apparently they’re charging the patients for cable now – how evil!). Cuddy tells him that the patient is an adjunct doctor at the hospital – a psychiatrist, and that she’s trapped at the south pole. He brings the case to the ducklings who ask if they can evacuate her, but apparently the winds make it too difficult for an evacuation for the next two months. They start diagnosing.

13: Could be appendicitis or a gall stone…
Kutner: Or a kidney stone.
House: That wouldn’t be any fun!

The rest of the recap below the more sign so that we don’t spoil it for anyone!

Hugh At the Superbowl!

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Hugh showed up at the Superbowl! I freaked out for awhile, wondering how I missed it, but it turned out his spot with Ryan Seacrest was aired in the second hour of the pre-game show, which I didn’t watch (dammit). I’ll grab a YouTube of it the second I can find one!

Apparently Ryan asked Hugh who he thought was going to win (or who he wanted to win…not sure about that yet), and, after he was pressed, he said the Giants. As upset as I am that the Giants won (hey, I’m from Vermont), I think it’s hilarious that Hugh chose the winning team!

Giants Win

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

The Giants have beaten the Patriots…dammit…

Now if the post-game guys will just shut up, we can get to a new episode of HOUSE! They’ve been plugging the new episode pretty hard during the game, which is awesome, so let’s hope that it’s as good as it looks so that people who have never watched House before will be as hooked as we all are!

I’ll have the recap up as soon as I finish watching the episode tonight!

Sunday’s Schedule

Friday, February 1st, 2008

xlii.jpg

Okay, I’ll probably be out of commission tomorrow (running around, playing with the kids, you know…) so let’s figure out together what’s going on Sunday. We all know that House is going to be after the Superbowl, but what time, exactly, is that?

Superbowl XLII begins at 6:00 PM. Then there’s the post game show, and my television has HOUSE starting at 10:15 PM.

Will it really start at 10:15? Probably not.

The superbowl has a tendancy to go on…and on….and on….and that’s IF there’s no “wardrobe malfunction”. So you can set your DVR to record, but the chances are really, really high that the show won’t tape fully. My suggestion? If you’re going to record it, record the post-game show, House, and whatever’s on after House, this way you’ll be sure to catch it!

I, however, will probably be watching the Superbowl off and on (the Patriots are playing! They’re undefeated! And even though I’m not a huge football fan, I’ve got to show some loyalty, right?), so I’ll HOPEFULLY catch it right off. And while I watch it, I always do the recap!
