The Social Contract Preview
Tuesday, February 24th, 2009House and the team take on the case of Nick (Jay Karnes), a book editor who loses his inhibition and starts insulting coworkers at a dinner party one night before falling ill. The team realizes Nick has frontal lobe inhibition, which has caused him to lose his filter and vocalize all of his innermost thoughts, resulting in extremely insulting outbursts. As Nick’s free speech lends to some amusing and insightful comments regarding the team, he must deal with the consequences of being unable to lie to his wife and everyone else important in his life. Meanwhile, House suspects Wilson and Taub are keeping something from him when he catches them both in a lie. House is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Isn’t that going to be interesting?! Coming up against someone who has no inhibitions in their speech. Actually, I found it really hilarious that I read a book by Catherine Coulter just the other day where one of the secondary characters had this same problem - his biggest problem with the condition is that he was a therapist who had treated some very influential Washington DC politicians and because of his condition, he found himself blurting out their deepest secrets to almost anyone.
While I’m sure this patient isn’t an influential therapist (although you never know) it’ll be interesting to watch! It looks like Kutner gets the lions share of this episode, and I’m pretty happy about that - I love Kutner!
Yes, I’m a closet Kutner lover.
I think he’s fairly smart and I love his sense of humor and optimism (in most cases).
So what did you guys think about last night’s live blogging? I had a few people who joined me on the commentary and we had a good deal of fun (at least I thought). I’d love to try it again in two weeks when House airs a new episode - what do you guys think? We could try another test run during a rerun next week? Let me know!
