Photos of House Crew at the 60th Emmy Awards

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

So I’ve been watching the Emmy’s since a bit past 8 (long day) and so far, no Hugh? I’ve been looking for pictures of him through Wire Image and through other sites and I’ve seen none?!?! Have you?

Here, however, are tons of photos of Lisa Edelstein, Jennifer Morrison, and Olivia Wilde arriving at the Emmy’s. My opinion? Their dresses all look great, but my favorite would have to be Lisa’s. She looks beautiful - and the new haircut?! Nice! What do you think?

More photos and news as I come upon it!

Update: new photos of Omar Epps and Kal Penn…

Life Intervenes

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Sorry guys! It’s been a crazy week, and I’ve let House slide by a bit because, well, there really wasn’t much news! I was really excited when I heard that the shows were going to start again, but then I got a bit bummed when I realized it would be the end of APRIL before we saw a new episode - not that I don’t like reruns, but I really want to see more of this season and see if the old ducklings get more air time and how cut throat bitch and Wilson do together!

The news I’ve missed? Omar Epps won an award! He won the award for best supporting actor - congrats Omar!!

And some trailers have turned up for Street Kings! Here’s the best one I can find so far (I’d forgotten how much I missed Keanu in a modern law-type role), and I’ll put more up if I can find it!

Hugh at BAFTA’S

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

bafta2.jpg

While everyone in American is focused on the Grammy’s tonight, over the pond they’re focused on the BAFTA’s! The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards have been going on for over 60 years. I’m pretty sure that Hugh was giving the award for best Screenplay, as the photos of Hugh in the press room are him posing with Diablo Cody, the writer for the Juno screenplay, which won. The wonderful Esther told me about his presence there and said that there were a few times that the camera panned onto Hugh and his lovely wife, Jo. I haven’t found any photos of that yet, but I’ll keep looking! Enjoy the photos of Hugh at the BAFTA’s, and thanks again Esther!!

Behind Sienna Miller and Kiera Knightly - a rough place to be!

bafta8.jpg
I’m in a monkey suit next to a woman dressed up like a cheetah…where’s Stephen Fry when I need him?

bafta1.jpg
Look - I see something over there…not quite sure….

bafta7.jpg
See! it’s over there…look closely…

bafta5.jpg
I love this look! He’s so funny…

bafta3.jpg
This is my stern look.

bafta4.jpg
Yeah - all right - I’m in a monkey suit with enough flashing to blind me…

Added - a little video of Hugh arriving at the BAFTA’s - the only video I can find so far…I love the woman yelling “Dr. House!!”

Olivia Wilde at SAG

Monday, January 28th, 2008

sagwilde1.jpg

Well, Olivia Wilde was the only House star that I could find at the SAG awards! I’m really shocked, actually, I thought Lisa Edelstein would be there for sure, especially since she’s been such a huge supporter of the SAG during their strike. I’m still kind of bummed that House lost…I mean, the show doesn’t need any awards for me to know how awesome it is, but to lose to Sopranos, which hasn’t had a new episode in how long? Just seems odd.

Olivia looks…eh…okay, I guess. I usually like her a lot better in her finery, but for some reason she looks a bit haughty in these photos…not sure why. Is it just me? How do you think she looked?

House Shut Out!

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

I just spent about an an hour watching the press conference. What? You didn’t know that the Golden Globes were reduced to a press conference simply because of the writers strike? Well, let me give you the rundown: House LOST.

hughglobes.jpg

Yes, LOST.

First, Hugh lost for best actor in a drama series to Jon Hamm from Mad Men.

Who - what?! WTF is Mad Men?

Next, House lost for Best Drama television show to…you guessed it…MAD MEN!

WTF!

I’m not taking it personally, though, because this round of Golden Globes seemed to be the Golden Globes where the actors/shows/movies that Randi doesn’t know all won. I mean, come on, what’s Californication? And Life Support? There were three movies that won that I know: Ratatouille (of course I know this movie…I have kids), Atonement (I HATE Keira Knightley), and Sweeny Todd (how the hell did THAT get on the list! Didn’t it just hit theaters…like…yesterday?)

Other than that, there was nothing that won that I knew. Then again, when the prestigious Golden Globes is turned into a press conference, anything can happen!

Updates on Hugh

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Sorry I was absent yesterday guys - you know how life is! I live in Vermont, actually, and apparently there is a HUGE snow storm due here tomorrow, so you may not hear from me then, either, if it knocks my satellite out. Anyway, enough about me - here’s what’s going on in “Hugh” land!

covent-garden1.jpg

You take the man out of Hollywood and he immediately starts looking British again! That’s alright, we love Hugh when he’s in his “brit” mode, don’t we? Hugh popped up at Covent Garden two nights ago wearing a beautiful, LONG jacket and a slight smile. Honestly, can you look more british than he does right here? I doubt it!

I’m going to guess that he’ll be home until after the New Year, so maybe we’ll get a few more shots of him hanging around in his homeland.

covent-garden2.jpg

Meanwhile, Hush has had a reaction to being nominated for the Golden Globes - oh - wait - did I forget to mention that?! Well hang on tight, if you hadn’t heard, because we’re headed BACK to the Globes this year! Hopefully we’ll kick some butt! House was mentioned twice, for Best Drama and for Best Actor in a Drama Series - here are what the show is up against:

Best Television Series - Drama
Big Love
Damages
Grey’s Anatomy
House
Mad Men
The Tudors

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama
Michael C. Hall - Dexter
Jon Hamm - Mad Men
Hugh Laurie - House
Jonathan Rhys Meyers - The Tudors
Bill Paxton - Big Love

I’ve never seen any of the other shows, so I’m not sure how stiff the competition is - what do you guys think?

Anyway, here’s what Hugh had to say about being nominated as lead actor in a drama series: “I’m extremely honored to be included in such company. But now, especially now, I have to emphasize how much I owe to David Shore and all the writers on ‘House.’ Without them, I wouldn’t even know how to finish this sentence without….you know…”

Leave it to Hugh to bring the Writer’s Strike into the equation - it’s no wonder we love this man!!

Supporting the WGA

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

I don’t know how I missed this the other day, but I did! Lisa was seen picketing with the WGA crew supporting their cause. I love her sign - and her boots - and her shades!

lisawga.jpg

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the stars’ support is going to help the strike end anytime soon. *sigh* - I guess singing, “All I Want for Christmas is New House Episodes” won’t help the matter any, will it?

Shutout At The Emmy’s

Monday, September 17th, 2007
emmy1.jpg

*sigh* - House was completely shut out at the Emmy’s! Outstanding Lead Actor in a drama series went to James Spader (WTF?! - I love James Spader tons too, but WTF?!), and Outstanding Drama Series went to the Soprano’s. Ah well, the Sorprano’s last year was this year, so NEXT year, we’ll rock the house! Meanwhile, though, on to the photos!

Hugh looked good last night! Not all men can pull off that “scruff” thing.

emmyhugharrive.jpg

And losing didn’t bring him down - he rocked the TV Guide AFTER PARTY instead!

emmyhughband.jpg
emmyhughband2.jpg

Lisa looked GORGEOUS last night! I loved the dress! This woman definitely does NOT look her age!

emmylisa.jpg

Ack! First she dyed it, now she CUT it! Jennifer Morrison sporting a new ‘do at the afterparty.

emmymorrison.jpg

Or IS it cut?! I can’t tell if it’s cut or just upswept - there’s no photos of her back end!!

emmymorrison2.jpg

Jesse looked somber on the red carpet, then…

emmyjesse.jpg

Tried to pull off a “Gregory House” look at the afterparty…

emmyspencerafter2.jpg

But couldn’t manage it!

emmyspencerafter.jpg

Omar and his lovely wife attended the gala - no pics of them at the after party, but I’m sure it was because his wife was too tired to hit it! And who can blame her?!

Hugh Won!!

Monday, August 27th, 2007

hughdoor.jpgYES! Hugh won!! House, unfortunately, did not win for best drama, but Hugh won for best TV actor!!! And this from a bunch of teenie boppers!

I’ve still got to check out the show (I recorded it - I’m heading right now to watch it…) I’ll let you know what his acceptance speech was like in a few, but I wanted to update you now!

CONGRATS HUGH!

I’m also going to have the photos up in an hour or so for voting, so get ready to vote for the best!

WE HAVE A WINNER…err..PART II

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

We have a winner for the second Flame Cane Contest, which will give one person a Flame Walking Cane from the great crew over at Fashionable Canes! Drumroll please…

ALLISON wins the contest!

Here’s what Allison wrote:

Ok, so we have seen Foreman get sick, we even had a scare with Cuddy, but what about Wilson? I have found a very rare disease called FMF (Familia Mediterranean Fever or also called Recuurent Polyserositis) that usually presents in people with Jewish backgrounds, because most Jewish people lived near the mediterranean, where the disease originated. FMF is caused my a mutation in the MEFV gene. This gene produces a protein called pryin or marenostrin. In FMF your body produces to much of it, causeing you to have abdominal episodes, or pain. They also frequently have symptoms consistent with appendicitis or cholecystitis, and may present with a fever. Symptoms may also mimic renal colic. Often patients have constipation during the attack and diarrhea after.

Of everyone with FMF, 50-60% are younger than 10 years, 80-95% are younger than 20 years, and 5-10% are older than 20 years. FMF is rare in persons older than 40 years. Now that would be a really rare disease fo Wilson to get, but i think House and his team would be up for the Challenge!

There is no cure, but it is managable with taking daily medicine called Colchicine. Their is ofcourse different doses for the severeity of the case.

I know a lot of this is confusing, that is why i am giving you the link ( http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic1410.htm ).

It really is a great (RARE!) disease. And i know that if Wilson got sick with this we would really see how much House cares about Wilson. We would also find out that House really does have the ability to give a damn about people.(haha)

She didn’t have to put it into a story, but she went the extra mile and did. The disease IS rare, and the fact that she pulled Wilson’s being Jewish into it is PERFECT! Congratulations Allison! I’ll be contacting you for your information today.

We had some excellent entries, and I want to give a shout-out to Camille, who e-mailed me quite a few diseases, all of which were great. It was a very hard decision to make, but we had a blast seeing all the diseases!
