Watching House

I have entered into the first ever:

Project Blog is a project that is going on over at Reality On Bravo, a 451 Press blog that talks all about the great reality shows that they have on the Bravo network (there are actually some good ones! I, personally, love Top Chef. Come on - seeing people have to make a gourmet meal out of food found in a vending machine - classic!)

Project Blog is a competition that is meant to go along with Project Runway. 11 Bloggers have entered into the competition. Once a week we’ll have a challenge and will have to compete against each other to win! There are prizes to be won every week (for both the contestants and the readers that enter a comment over at Reality on Bravo), and the person that wins each week gets immunity from the next competition.

This week I had to write about why I became a blogger. PUHLEEZE check out the post and, if you like it, head on over to Reality on Bravo and vote for me!

Other than that - have a great weekend, and I’ll be sure to let you know when/if I hear anything new about the House tapings!

We’ve had some amazing entries for the Flame Cane Walking Contest. There have been some celebrities that shocked me! I assumed I’d see a lot of entries for Paris Hilton (excuse me while I throw up) or Nicole Richie (there is no cure for stupidity), but it’s been entries for really intellectual guest stars!

What I’m gathering so far is that everyone wants to see House pitted against someone that’s as intelligent as he is. My crew and I came up with the perfect person - someone that truly has the intelligence to bring House down…

Remember - the contest ends on Friday at noon, EST. Choose whom you think the best celebrity guest star would be to be on House and you could win the Flame Walking Cane from Fashionable Canes!

Some awesome promo pics of the first episode have surfaced! You’ve gotta love the producers for giving us these teases. I’ll tell you what, if ANYONE tries to bother me on September 25th, they’re going to risk having their mouth covered with duct tape! Reruns are great, but I WANT HOUSE!

We’re coming down to the wire - the new season of House will start before we know it! YES! My Myspace page is totally pimped out waiting for it…yes, I have a Myspace page…yes, I got suckered into it…

So Fashionable Canes is giving us ANOTHER Flame Walking Cane to give away! They rock! This time, in order to win, I want you to tell me who you think should guest-star on House! Bonus points if you describe what kind of character they’d be and/or why their character would need Dr. House.

My best friend said that Britney Spears should have an implant break…I think she should be seen by House after her horrible performance at the VMA’s this year!

We have gotten some AWESOME pics in for the contest! I REALLY want to show you guys, but I’m waiting until Monday morning so that you can oooh and aaahh all at once!

What contest?

The House Flame Cane Walking Contest (the third incarnation)! We’re giving away another House Flame Cane Walking Cane from Fashionable Canes. Fashionable Canes also have replica canes of ALL the other canes from the House show, and if there’s a new one this season (which would follow their pattern), you can be sure they’ll have that too!

Anyway, for this contest, all you have to do is find the best/funniest/sexiest/whatever picture of any of the members of the House crew.

And if you’re good at designing, you can design one!

Contest ends at noon EST on Sunday, and on Monday morning we’ll have the top 10 photos up on the site (anonymously, so no one knows the names), allowing YOU House fans to vote! Voting will end on Wednesday and the winner will get a House Flame Walking Cane of their very own!

Ok, so we have seen Foreman get sick, we even had a scare with Cuddy, but what about Wilson? I have found a very rare disease called FMF (Familia Mediterranean Fever or also called Recuurent Polyserositis) that usually presents in people with Jewish backgrounds, because most Jewish people lived near the mediterranean, where the disease originated. FMF is caused my a mutation in the MEFV gene. This gene produces a protein called pryin or marenostrin. In FMF your body produces to much of it, causeing you to have abdominal episodes, or pain. They also frequently have symptoms consistent with appendicitis or cholecystitis, and may present with a fever. Symptoms may also mimic renal colic. Often patients have constipation during the attack and diarrhea after.

Of everyone with FMF, 50-60% are younger than 10 years, 80-95% are younger than 20 years, and 5-10% are older than 20 years. FMF is rare in persons older than 40 years. Now that would be a really rare disease fo Wilson to get, but i think House and his team would be up for the Challenge!

There is no cure, but it is managable with taking daily medicine called Colchicine. Their is ofcourse different doses for the severeity of the case.

I know a lot of this is confusing, that is why i am giving you the link ( http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic1410.htm ).

It really is a great (RARE!) disease. And i know that if Wilson got sick with this we would really see how much House cares about Wilson. We would also find out that House really does have the ability to give a damn about people.(haha)

She didn’t have to put it into a story, but she went the extra mile and did. The disease IS rare, and the fact that she pulled Wilson’s being Jewish into it is PERFECT! Congratulations Allison! I’ll be contacting you for your information today.

We had some excellent entries, and I want to give a shout-out to Camille, who e-mailed me quite a few diseases, all of which were great. It was a very hard decision to make, but we had a blast seeing all the diseases!
