In the photos I put up the other day I noticed something interesting - there was a clear shot of the directory for Princeton Plainsboro Hospital!
I happen to have a hard time imagining spacial things - it shocked me to realize that House and Wilson’s offices were on the fourth floor and the MRI was way down on the bottom floor. I knew the clinic was on the first floor but didn’t know that the patient rooms were on the third floor.
Am I just that oblivious? Probably.
House begins with Thirteen and another chick REALLY going at it (you’ve seen the first two minutes) – afterwards the girl (who is the Patient Of the Week, also named Spencer) falls off of the bed and begins seizing. Thirteen calls the ambulance and the POtW is taken to PPH, where she’s admitted into Cameron’s care.
Cameron finds House in the morning and is trying to pass the POtW off to him, only he is trying to look into Wilson’s office to watch something. Turns out he’s played a practical joke on Wilson that wound up with Wilson stretched out on the floor. House very nicely left a donut on a plate and a container or milk for him near where he’d land.
Wilson: The donut was a nice touch.
House: Just my little way of saying welcome back.
Cameron tells him about the patient and her problems and says that Thirteen was with her, at 3 am, when the patient took Ecstasy.
House: Thirteen was with her? At 3 am? Oh yeah – Penthouse Forum meets medical mystery.
The rest of the recap hidden below the cut for those who haven’t seen it yet!
I’m so sorry guys - my ass is buried so far under work that I have absolutely no time to do the recap, much less even WATCH the show! I got done work last night at 11 pm - took a shower and crashed. Then it was back up to do MORE WORK! I got the opportunity to do a huge project, and with the holiday season coming (along with the price that we have to pay to put oil in our tank), I couldn’t refuse it. It will be done next week and hopefully I’ll be able to get caught up then (albeit too late for a review). If one of you would like to write a review I’d love to put it up here! Just send it to randi.morse (at) hughes.net and I’ll get the review up for everyone to read!
thank you for being understanding.
Have I told you how much I love technology? Technology is amazing. Without technology, I wouldn’t be able to use my DVR to record House every Tuesday. I wouldn’t be able to pause the show whenever there was a great quote that I wanted to write down, nor would I be able to truly enjoy the show.
The technology, however, is only as smart as the operator.
Guess who, at 8:30 last night, realized that she HADN’T set the DVR to record? Guess who went flying through the house to see if the DVR in the bedroom was recording only to be denied again? Guess who went into a rage because she missed House?
Not me - NEVER.
I caught the last half hour of House. That’s it. ARGH! And considering we have to wait 2 weeks to get a new House, it’s annoying!!
ARGH! What did everyone think of the episode? Good? Bad? Ugly?
Grace said in the last post that I had written “old news”, and although she was trying to be nice about it, it stung a little. I can’t always snag the news the fastest, and there are lots of people who don’t want to know spoilers to the next few episodes. but in order to make Grace happy (and I do hear you Grace), I’ve got some information on episode 5.04 - Birthmarks, which will be airing on October 14th (apparently we’re skipping a week of House for some reason - not sure what will be airing the 7th…)
In Birthmarks, House finds out that his father has passed away, though dismisses the idea of going to his funeral. However, he is eventually coerced into going, despite protesting against doing so. Meanwhile, House’s team encounters a case of a young woman adopted by American parents who collapsed in China. While House is traveling to his father’s funeral, he works with the team to diagnose the woman over a mobile phone. House’s phone battery runs out later, and the team has to decipher what House was trying to tell them. The back story of how Wilson and House met for the first time is also revealed.
Well now doesn’t THIS look interesting! We all know what House’s father is responsible for, and how House does everything to avoid both of them. I am really, REALLY wondering what he’ll be standing up to say at the funeral! What do you think he’ll say?
I’ve got some new pictures up on the Emmy picture post, but this just in: HOUSE won for best direction for House’s Head! Yes!!
More to come!!!
I’m sorry! I usually watch the episode and post my review up directly following the episode, but I’ve been slammed with work (don’t ever let anyone tell you that freelance writers get to chill out and watch TV all day long - they’re lying) and even though I was able to watch the show last night, I haven’t done a thorough review yet!
I will say, however, that I thought it was excellent - I thought that the whole House/Wilson thing was great, especially at the end when House went into Wilson’s office. I also thought that seeing into 13’s future was a bit…iffy. On one hand I feel a bit more concerned for her, but on the other hand I just want to say “stop whining” - even though she’s not really whining.
What did you think about the episode last night?!?!
*edited to add* How did House do in the ratings last night?
Fox was in a winning league of its own on Tuesday, beating with its combination of the season-premiere of House (Viewers: #1, 14.41 million; A18-49: #1, 5.5 rating/16 share) and week two of Fringe (Viewers: #1, 13.36 million; A18-49: #1, 5.2/13), which held 87 percent in viewers and 88 percent among adults 18-49 of the 8:30 p.m. portion of House (Viewers: 15.37 million; A18-49: 5.9/16). Although most new shows drop by 10 to 20 percent in the second week, Fringe actually built by a hefty 4.23 million viewers and 62 percent in the demo from its 90-minute debut one week earlier (Viewers: 9.13 million; A18-49: 3.2/ 9 on Sept. 10) thanks to the support of House. House, meanwhile, opened last season with 18.31 million viewers and a 7.8/19 among adults 18-49 on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at 9 p.m.
“House” (14.4 million, 5.5/16) helped fuel “Fringe” but was down 29% from last year’s premiere and was the lowest-rated Tuesday original of the drama since 2005. Should be noted, however, that last year’s opener was at 9 p.m. and during the official broadcast premiere week, so it had a better launch period.
So not a great start, but it makes sense as to why the start wasn’t so great. What do you think of this?

Ummm - wait - what’s this? Lisa Edelstein showed up at the Monte Carlo Television Festival on Saturday with someone who definitely, definitely doesn’t resemble her boyfriend. The last information I have shows that Lisa was dating Petri Räisänen, as shown below:

So who, then, was Lisa with in Monaco on Saturday?! Whomever he is, he looks much more attractive, nice, and approachable to me! Does anyone have any idea who Lisa’s new beau is?
It’s so odd - I’m so excited to see tonights episode, yet I’m sad as well, as I know that this is the end of the season! This is one of those bitter sweet moments. Even more interesting is that we all hated Amber (aka Cut Throat Bitch), and now that we are kind of enjoying her presence, she may die! There are a few things I want to address, though, before the episode tonight.
1 - Will Amber Die?
I DON’T KNOW!! A friend of mine was on chat this morning going, “and House will save her, of course”. Ummm - no of course. Plenty of characters have died on this show, which means that we can never know if someone will make it, and what better way to shake things up than to kill someone off?
2 - Amber is House’s daughter/sister
WHAT? House doesn’t have any siblings, and as far as we know, no children (and Amber would have to have been born when he was very young). And then you’re forgetting a big thing - House M.D. isn’t a soap opera. This one I just don’t see happening.
3 - Why does Amber take the bus?
THIS is, perhaps, the biggest question. But then we have to remember that we don’t even know for sure that Amber has a car, we’re just assuming she does. Maybe she takes the bus all the time?
Alright, so she probably has a car - why, then, is she on the bus with House? It probably has a lot to do with why they’re together…
4 - Why does House say “You want me to risk my life to save Amber?”
A lot of people are assuming that this means that House is going to undergo a surgery in order to save Amber…something like a kidney donation or what have you. I tend to think that he’s going to risk his life in order to get his memory back to figure out what the clue was that he noticed before the bus accident, not that he’s going to give her a kidney or anything.
5 - Why does Wilson say “You can’t do this”?
Haven’t seen the new promo yet? It’s quick, but MaryKir (the wonderful woman) caught it - head on over to her site to see the new promo that aired last night.
I took some screenshots from that promo that may give us a spoiler as to what is going on (with House, you never know) - I put them below the cut so that those who do not want to spoil the surprise don’t have to. But remember - a screen shot doesnt’ necessarily show us what is giong to happen, although I have a bad feeling that one of these shots does.

I’m watching the SAG awards and Hugh lost lead male actor in a drama series to James Gandolfini for Sopranos…dammit.
*sigh* Not a good award season for Hugh and the crew so far…
A short time ago I put up a post here. It was about how Star magazine had a photo of Hugh next to a photo of someone that they believed to be Hugh’s wife, Jo. One wonderful Watching House reader Ali recently left a comment about the post, linking to some photos that were taken of Hugh and Jo about a year and a half ago. Ali didn’t seem to think that it was the same person, but I do!
Take a look at this:

The jaw line is th same, the mouth is the same, and even the ears are the same! I think that this is Jo! Apparently Jo lost a LOT of weight, but I definitely believe, now, that it’s Jo. What do you think?
(more photos from the day Hugh was saying goodbye to Jo in LA a year and a half ago can be found here)
Thanks again for the photo link Ali!!
Well, well, well…we’ve got some interesting information for the last *sob* episode of House. For starters, read the press release about the new episode…
Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino Guest Stars in Episode Immediately Following the Super Bowl
When Dr. Cate Milton (guest star Mira Sorvino), a psychiatrist trapped at the South Pole and the research station’s only doctor, becomes ill in the middle of her assignment, she and Dr. House are thrust into a long-distance relationship of sorts. Unable to get Cate out or any additional medical supplies to the South Pole station, House and his team must resort to treating her via webcam. House and his team walk the doctor through a series of makeshift and painful diagnostic tests she must perform on herself. Cate pushes back at House’s every recommendation, and is unwilling to risk valuable station medical supplies until he can provide valid proof for his diagnoses each step of the way. While House and his team helplessly watch her condition worsen, House’s usually icy demeanor surprisingly softens as he searches for ways to save her life. Meanwhile, House does some detective work of his own and is surprised to learn who Wilson has been dating in the “Frozen” episode of HOUSE airing Sunday, Feb. 3
Doesn’t it sound good?!
Oh, and I’m pretty sure I know who Wilson is dating….
A few minutes ago I posted about House’s last few episodes. NOW, thanks to some great House fans, I’ve got some awesome photos from the last episode to be aired this season: Frozen. Remember to click to biggify if you want to see it in it’s entirety! Enjoy!
Wow - she looks a lot different now than she did during her Romy and Michelle days! Of course, I’m sure living in the artcic can make you lose your style a bit…
House and Foreman, looking very concerned….
Is it just me, or do they all look a bit surprised/worried about something?
Wow - he’s yummy! Who is HE? I know he works with Mira in the arctic, but who is he?! I’m going to be checking HIM out after the episode…and during LOL
This looks a bit scary…like a person on an airplane trying to land one…yikes!
