Watching House

Dr. House needs to take a round out of me, as I’ve been seriously slacking lately. I think that happens when I haven’t seen a new episode in a few weeks (or MONTHS dang it). I’ve been doing the quick search for news, but not much has popped up. There are a bunch of spoilers going around, which many readers don’t like so I’m avoiding for the moment, and there is the news that Cameron and Chase will NOT be going back to the regular team.

Say what?

That’s right. Creator David Shore said in an interview recently that while Chase and Cameron may get a bit more screen time than they had before, they will not be rejoining House’s regular team. In an interview with The Watcher, David Shore had a few interesting things to say - such as this little gem of wisdom:

I’m going to say something you’re readers aren’t going to like, but as someone running a television show, you have to be very careful – people think they want something and they do want something, but it’s not what they need, shall we say, and it’s not what the show needs. It’s great that they like those characters.

And the show as a whole falls into that. And so yes, I changed it. A little bit. And you have to be really careful with these things. It’s a real challenge. You want people to want more of things. You have to be careful on what you deliver.

He’s got a good point, but at the same time it still left me feeling like “Oh - you know what we want better than we do, huh?” But then again, he’s the one raking in the millions, not me!

He also was pretty quiet when the interviewer asked him if anyone was leaving from the show.

Something is happening at the end of this year which I think is pretty significant. I’d rather not say what it is.

Huh?! Oh now my interest is even more peaked! You can see the entire interview here. We’ve only got 10 more days until the new House episode!! Then we’ve only got four left until the end of the season. April 28, “No More Mister Nice Guy”: “House thinks an emergency room patient has a bigger problem than the E.R. initially diagnosed based on the fact that the patient is ‘too nice.’ Meanwhile, House and Amber (guest star Anne Dudek) are at odds vying for Wilson’s (Robert Sean Leonard) time and attention in an all-new episode.”

May 5, “Living the Dream”: “In an all-new episode, House is convinced that one of the actors (guest star Jason Lewis) on his favorite soap opera, ‘Prescription Passion,’ has a serious medical condition, but has to take matters into his own hands when both the actor and House’s own team dismiss his assessment, believing that nothing is wrong with the soap hunk.”

May 12, “House’s Head”: “In Part 1 of the two-part season finale, House is in a bus accident and loses four hours of his memory. He slowly pieces together that a fellow bus passenger was exhibiting signs of a deadly illness. But the details of who it is or how House got on the bus in the first place are locked inside his brain, and he’s desperate to add up the fleeting flashes in order to save someone who might not even know he or she could be dying.”

May 19, “Wilson’s Heart”: “In Part 2 of the two-part season finale, clues inside House’s head hold the key to a patient’s condition, and House’s friendship with Wilson is tested beyond limits as murky memories from the bus accident the night before threaten to change their lives forever.”

Did you know that Jennifer Morrison has a role in an upcoming movie titled Big Stan? To tell you the truth, I’d seen the name on IMDB under her but I wasn’t quite sure what it was and really didn’t take the time to reserach it. Big Stan is a comedy directed and starring Rob Schneider. I believe that Jennifer plays his wife. I honestly didn’t think it was her until I snapped a few screenshots, and even NOW its still hard to believe that’s her under all that Aquanet! Here are a few screenshots and the trailer is below - will you be seeing Big Stan?

Alright, I’ve got something that we need to discuss - seriously. What’s wrong with 13? I’m a member of a number of House boards, and I cruise the net way more hours than I should looking for information for this site. Everywhere I turn there are more people that hate 13 than there are people that like her - what’s up with that?! When the new season started, I really, really liked her! I loved how she gave it right back to House but how she seemed sweeter than Cameron had been. For some reason, Cameron had really rubbed me the wrong way.

Now, however, as the episodes are going on (finally!), I find that I’m not quite sure how I feel about 13. The last episode on Tuesday night I actually…didn’t…like…her! Seriously! I was actually smiling when I saw Cameron at the end of the episode and sort of missed her! I know - it’s sick and disturbing, but that’s the truth! I know that when the season started the feelings for 13 were split half and half. The half that didn’t like her were mostly Cameron fans, and the half that did like her were excited and hoping to see her in a love situation with someone.

I’m going to go out on a huge limb here and say that most House fans have issues with the female characters. With the one exception to the rule being Cuddy. Most fans feel that Cuddy can do no wrong and want to see her in more scenes. Why are we so tough on the young females on the show? From the feedback I’m getting, most people liked the clinic patient last episode more than they liked 13, which, I think, shows that there’s something a bit wrong with the way they’re portraying the female doctors…or am I totally insane? Shouldn’t we at least partially like the female ducklings? I think more people like Taub than they do 13! It seems that Foreman is the only male doctor that no one likes, but when it comes to the girls, they get eviscerated. Should we have another female character aside from Cuddy that we like, or are the feelings we have for the current female ducklings (old and present) a good mix for the show?

I officially LOVE this photo! Okay, I know that most of you don’t care for 13, but hey, it’s a great shot of all of them! Thanks to a wonderful House fan, I’ve also got the rest of the interview as well! I’d try to type it out, but the last time I did that I got a slap on the wrist from TV Guide (sorry again TV Guide!). I’m putting these into thumbnails because there are a few spoiler-y type things that are said, but just click on them to make them large enough to read the entire story (and it’s a good one!!)

Alright Jennifer, I’m glad to know that finally you’re listening to all of your fans. THANK YOU!

Jennifer showed up at the Cloverfield premiere last night dressed…well…a hell of a lot better than she has been dressed lately! I LOVE the hair, I love the makeup, I love the smile, I love the necklace, and I can even stand the dress!

Did I mention that I actually like her hair for the first time since she’s dyed it? Or “undyed” it, depending on which version you believe.

It doesn’t show off her curves very well, but it’s hip, it’s classy, it’s YOUNG, and it’s a beautiful color.

It’s official: EVERYBODY hates the latest Jennifer Morrison look. Now even the girls over at Go Fug Yourself are making a statement about Jennifer’s dress.

Jennifer - we’re begging you - get a new stylist!!

You know, just a few hours ago I posted about Jennifer Morrison’s last fashion faux pas, and now I’m posting again. Jennifer was out again last night at the The Art of Elysium 10th Anniversary Gala.

And once again she looks like she grabbed the first thing she could find in her grandmother’s closet. And apparently this time she decided that she’d add a pale complexion and slicked back ‘do to the outfit.

Why, for once, can’t Jennifer go out to a gala or awards show looking like this:

Once again Jennifer Morrison stepped out for an evening full of fashion. This was her latest attempt at fashion. What do you think?

My take? I think it looks like something that was dragged out of my grandmother’s closet and altered to fit her bony frame. Do I think that Jennifer Morrison’s too skinny? Yes, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t dress stylishly. I mean, she’s in HOLLYWOOD for goodness sake! If Helena Bonham Carter can go from this:

to THIS:

in just a few hours, why can’t Jennifer Morrison find something that’s beautiful, stylish, and OF THIS CENTURY?

The Australian Yahoo has an interesting story up now…they’ve got a story saying that Jennifer Morrison broke Jesse Spencer’s heart by bringing her new boyfriend onto the House set!

According to the story, Jesse had been trying to bring the romance back to life by wooing (I love that term) Jennifer back slowly but surely. The story goes on to say that Jennifer broke Jesse’s heart by showing up on the set with a new boyfriend!

According to the “source” (I love these anonymous sources…we should name them all “deepthroat”): “Jesse was completely taken aback to discover that Jennifer has a new man and he was visibly shocked when he clapped eyes on the guy. The fact that the guy Jen had with her was a very tall and handsome model-type just added to the obvious pain Jesse suffered after seeing them together. He’s an emotional guy so it’s no surprise that he would take the sighting pretty badly.”

Now this story has created some interesting discussion. The most interesting part being that the show hasn’t been being filmed in quite awhile, so this would’ve had to have happened a few months ago to make the story plausible, in which case, WHY has the story just surfaced?

I do believe that the two are split up, and that sooner than later we’ll see Jen with a new guy, but I tend to wonder about the reporter’s sources on this one….

Omar and his “baby-mama”

Omar and his lovely wife, Keisha, had a babyshower on November 3rd, with some very interesting and famous guests! Before we get to the babyshower, however, let’s discuss the episode that is going to be on tonight. Here’s the official preview:

House encounters a magician whose heart failed while performing an underwater escape act. While the remaining fellowship candidates work to diagnose the illusionist, House is determined to prove that he’s a scam artist faking his ailments to cover up the fact that he nearly drowned during his act. During the testing, House suspects one of his own candidates may have an undisclosed illness. In the meantime, House pits his team against one another in a challenge involving Cuddy, granting the winner immunity from elimination and a chance to nominate two other candidates to be put on the chopping block.

Did you realize that they’re making a new Star Trek movie? Apparently I don’t do enough searching online, because I didn’t know that they were making a new Star Trek! This Star Trek is supposed to follow Captain Kirk and all of his friends as they go through the academy and beyond. Guess who’s playing the young Spock? Sylar from Heroes!

Jennifer Morrison has been confirmed and is, I believe, already filming. Sorry I couldn’t find a larger photo! Apparently Morrison is going to be playing Dr. Carol Marcus. Her character has a son with Captain Kirk! David is his name (I didn’t realize that Kirk had a son!! I really need to get out more!)

Neither Jesse Spencer nor Lisa Edelstein have any movies coming up, but Omar Epps is! He’s finished filming A Day In The Life and it’s been rumored that he’s going to be in Love Can’t Hide as well. Olivia Wilde has finished filming Fix and Hugh, of course, has Night Watchman heading to the screen soon.

No news yet on the writer’s strike, but I’m definitely a bit frustrated that there will be no more House soon! On the other hand, Hugh will get time to spend with his family, which is great! Ugh - two sides to every coin, right?

As for House and the crew, I’m afriad I have very little information right now. I haven’t heard that Hugh has headed home yet, but he’s extremely private and may have snuck away while no one was watching. The last pic I have of him is from November 4th, when he headed to the No Country for Old Men premiere in L.A.

Lisa Edelstein, meanwhile, has been hitting the red carpet fairly heavily. Her last sighting was a week or so ago at the Lint Roller party. Looks like she brought another four legged friend! Awwww.

Omar has been off the scene (possibly due to his new baby), as has Jesse Spencer. Jennifer Morrison has been seen here and there.

So what are you buying for your loved one for Christmas? It’s always hard to pick - I stop and wonder, sometimes, what gift House would get Wilson or Cuddy for Christmas - that’s an interesting thought, isn’t it?!

Last episode was the first time we saw Jennifer and Jesse working together. Remember, we uesd to see this:

But they seperated. Now I don’t know if these shots were done before they split or not, but if they WERE done after they split, they did a great job - look at the way she’s looking at him:

She looks as though she’s really in love with him still! Okay, so it’s a kind of “annoyed” look, but she still looks close to him. Do you think they’ll be able to keep this up? Are they good enough actors?

And, what are your plans for the weekend?! I’ll be catching up on my tv and watching ER and Survivor from this week! God love the DVR!!

Hey guys - sorry I was absent for a few days. I have been really busy working and needed to “unplug” - trust me, sometimes being a full-time freelance writer is not the dream job it sounds like! That’s one of the reasons that I so love Tuesdays! I can shut down the internet and dive into House!

Jennifer Morrison was seen on October 4th at Giambatista Valli show during Paris Fashion Week. She wore a black dress with ruffles on the front and had a plastic looking ruby ring with some red earrings that matched. I THINK I’m getting used to her hair, but I hate the outfits lately! This one’s black, so you think it’d be okay, but it really is kinda yucky! What do you think?

Check out these interesting promo shots. They were done by Florian Schneider. Schneider is known for creating photos out of numerous shots. According to his website, he finds photos of backgrounds that he likes and matches the actors up, in the studio, to the way the scene shold be shot. Fox is one of his bigger clients, and he’s got photos of House as well as Nip/Tuck (another of my favorite shows).

These are definitely some different promo’s than we’re used to - my husband (who’s not a Jennifer Morrison fan) actually likes the way she looks in these shots. I think Lisa looks great! And for some reason Omar’s walking away from the building while everyone else is around it - hmmmmm….very peculiar.
