Cuddy and Cameron “valley girls”

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I’m so, SO sorry! I’ve been badly neglecting this site this summer - I apologize profusely! I’m slammed with work right now, but am also digging up some juicy details about the next season, and the actors, so until then, enjoy this hilarious scene between Cuddy and Cameron, which was re-taped with the two actresses acting like “Valley Girls”

Thanks to my girl Jaime for the link!

Interview with Lisa Edelstein and Cuddy Strip-Tease (Finally)

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

You know, I kept saying I was going to grab the Cuddy strip-tease and put it up online for everyone, but I kept forgetting! We have it on our DVR, so I can watch it there and forget to look for it online. FINALLY we have the strip tease, or the Lisa Edelstein strip tease or pole dance - whatever you want to call it. I call it: sheer genius.

Lisa also gave a short interview to E!’s Kristen , where she talks about Cuddy, House, and the strip tease and Hugh. Here’s a little excerpt:

Could you tell us something fun about the lap-dance scene?
We filmed for about four hours, and there were several moves that were left out in the final edit, which were my favorite. I rehearsed for about two weeks with a special trainer who does not train strippers but trains women to do that kind of dancing for themselves or for their husbands or wives, however they may roll. It was a little scary, but it was a lot of fun.

How did Hugh handle it?
Hugh was so wonderful. I did it for him before we shot it because I was so worried. It’s a whole different relationship than what we have as friends working together. So for Hugh and the director and producer of that episode, I did a personal lap dance and showed it to them, and Hugh was incredibly supportive, like a cheerleader. There was nothing about what he did that made me uncomfortable. He appreciated it as a man, up to the level that he could and should in a way that was not inappropriate. I felt beautiful, and it ended up being a really lovely experience.

Lisa Edelstein’s New Boyfriend

Monday, June 9th, 2008

edelsteinmonaco1.jpg

Ummm - wait - what’s this? Lisa Edelstein showed up at the Monte Carlo Television Festival on Saturday with someone who definitely, definitely doesn’t resemble her boyfriend. The last information I have shows that Lisa was dating Petri Räisänen, as shown below:

edelsteinboyfriend.jpg

So who, then, was Lisa with in Monaco on Saturday?! Whomever he is, he looks much more attractive, nice, and approachable to me! Does anyone have any idea who Lisa’s new beau is?

Lisa and Jesse All Over!

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Not only were Lisa and Jesse at the Handle With Care Charity even the other day, they’re popping up all over the place! First, Lisa was spotted at the Future Fashion L.A. Cocktail Reception on the 13th. A few people have said that she looks like she’s lost weight - I’m not sure…what do you think?

lisaeco3.jpg
lisaeco1.jpglisaeco2.jpg

And Jesse - oooooh Jesse - recently did a photo shoot for Cosmo magazine. All I can say is - Mmmmmm….

Why I’m Drooling on Monday Morning

Monday, March 10th, 2008

I get Hugh and Jesse on Monday morning! Oh what a way to start off the week! Hugh, Jesse, and our lovely Lisa made it clear that the House crew is back in town yesterday by going to the “Handle With Care” charity event that was set up at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles in order to benefit IU-Kenya and Ampath. Jesse was actually the host! Way to go Jesse!!

handle1.jpg

Some people on the blog-o-sphere are discussing Jesse’s hair and how long it is. What do you think about it? I’m still undecided - I didn’t care for Lisa’s top, but it was great to see her again! It’s been a month or two since I’ve gotten any good photos of her! What I love, though, is that the scruff is back, which means that House is definitely, definitely filming again! Hello Dr. House! We missed you!

Enjoy the photos!

What’s The Problem with “13″?

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

WildeDiscussion.jpgAlright, I’ve got something that we need to discuss - seriously. What’s wrong with 13? I’m a member of a number of House boards, and I cruise the net way more hours than I should looking for information for this site. Everywhere I turn there are more people that hate 13 than there are people that like her - what’s up with that?! When the new season started, I really, really liked her! I loved how she gave it right back to House but how she seemed sweeter than Cameron had been. For some reason, Cameron had really rubbed me the wrong way.

Now, however, as the episodes are going on (finally!), I find that I’m not quite sure how I feel about 13. The last episode on Tuesday night I actually…didn’t…like…her! Seriously! I was actually smiling when I saw Cameron at the end of the episode and sort of missed her! I know - it’s sick and disturbing, but that’s the truth! I know that when the season started the feelings for 13 were split half and half. The half that didn’t like her were mostly Cameron fans, and the half that did like her were excited and hoping to see her in a love situation with someone.

I’m going to go out on a huge limb here and say that most House fans have issues with the female characters. With the one exception to the rule being Cuddy. Most fans feel that Cuddy can do no wrong and want to see her in more scenes. Why are we so tough on the young females on the show? From the feedback I’m getting, most people liked the clinic patient last episode more than they liked 13, which, I think, shows that there’s something a bit wrong with the way they’re portraying the female doctors…or am I totally insane? Shouldn’t we at least partially like the female ducklings? I think more people like Taub than they do 13! It seems that Foreman is the only male doctor that no one likes, but when it comes to the girls, they get eviscerated. Should we have another female character aside from Cuddy that we like, or are the feelings we have for the current female ducklings (old and present) a good mix for the show?

House on the Cover of TV Guide

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

There’s a new TV Guide with House and the girls on it! Check it out:

housetvguide.jpg

I officially LOVE this photo! Okay, I know that most of you don’t care for 13, but hey, it’s a great shot of all of them! Thanks to a wonderful House fan, I’ve also got the rest of the interview as well! I’d try to type it out, but the last time I did that I got a slap on the wrist from TV Guide (sorry again TV Guide!). I’m putting these into thumbnails because there are a few spoiler-y type things that are said, but just click on them to make them large enough to read the entire story (and it’s a good one!!)

tvguide1.jpgtvguide2.jpgtvguide3.jpgtvguide4.jpg

And don’t forget (as if you could) - NEW EPISODE TONIGHT! I’m buried in work but hopefully I’ll be able to watch the show and write a recap late this evening.

Of course, I’ll be up until 2 in the morning, but it’s SO worth it!!

Lisa Edelstein Interview in Jewish Woman Magazine

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Lisa Edelstein gave a great interview to Jewish Woman magazine recently - I love reading her interviews because she’s such an open book. There are some people, like my husband Scott who runs WWE Daily, that keep everything close to them. Lisa is very open and loves speaking about her life and her experiences. Here are a few excerpts from the great interview:

You were a live wire in the 1980s New York club scene, where you were dubbed “Queen of the Night.” What do you remember most about that time? Does the Queen live on today?

[laughs.] Does the Queen of the Night ever really die? Now I’m the queen of 4:30 in the morning, when I get up to practice yoga before I go to work. The people were really special to me during that time; there were a lot of phenomenal people of great talent whom no one will ever know. A lot of them died when AIDS first hit New York.

lisaedelstein.jpg

You turned 40 this year; did it feel like a milestone?

It certainly is a moment in your life where you reflect. One thing you realize is that there are ideas that you’re given by your parents about what life is supposed to look like, and then there’s the life you make for yourself, which doesn’t necessarily go in the same direction. I expected to have children by now but I don’t, and yet, the life I have is exactly what I wanted. In terms of desiring children, it’s hard to know if it’s your own desire as a woman, or if it’s cultural, or hormonal or physiological, some biological drive… I have a hard time finding “me” in all those things. I’ve decided if I end up not having a baby of my own and I still have this tremendous urge to be a mother, there are plenty of children who need mothers.

Pick a favorite on-screen boyfriend: Jason Alexander (on Seinfeld), James Spader (on The Practice), Ben Stiller (in Keeping the Faith) or Rob Lowe (on The West Wing).

The West Wing was a great moment in my life, because I was madly in love with Rob Lowe in high school. So it was one of those moments when you wish you could go back in time and show yourself what your life is going to look like. I was miserable in high school so it was such an achievement to find myself in bed, in my underwear, with Rob Lowe.

You are noted as often for your looks as you are for your talent. After a couple decades in show business, what sort of perspective have you gained on Hollywood beauty pressures?

It’s funny; I’ve never thought I was known for my looks. It’s a little weird, very flattering, but I’m the one who has to wake up and look at myself in the mirror every morning. I try to just enjoy the compliment and let it go as fast as I can, because everything changes. I want to age. I want to be an old lady. If I want to be an 80-year-old woman like my grandma Gertie was—and she was a fantastic woman—I have to be okay with getting older. The hard thing about this business is you have to look at yourself a lot more than other people do. People get a bit obsessed because there’s too much attention placed there, just by nature of the work. This is Hollywood. There are teams of hair and makeup people and photographs are touched up. It’s image-making; it’s always been that way.

I really love this interview! To read the whole thing, check out Jewish Woman’s Magazine here

What’s Hugh Doing in L.A.?

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Why, supporting the writers, of course! Check out this YouTube clip - I’m pretty sure it’s from the second or third of December (was put up on YouTube on the third) - about three minutes in, Hugh and Lisa visit the strikers, talk about House, grab a picket sign and stat walking. I always love hearing Hugh talk in his normal accent.

Hugh even has to worry about “police brutality” - check out the clip:

I’m not quite sure if they’re still filming or what Lisa means by the comment she makes about “changing a lot of stuff around” - what do you think?

Supporting the WGA

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

I don’t know how I missed this the other day, but I did! Lisa was seen picketing with the WGA crew supporting their cause. I love her sign - and her boots - and her shades!

lisawga.jpg

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the stars’ support is going to help the strike end anytime soon. *sigh* - I guess singing, “All I Want for Christmas is New House Episodes” won’t help the matter any, will it?

Jennifer Morrison in Star Trek?

Monday, November 19th, 2007

Did you realize that they’re making a new Star Trek movie? Apparently I don’t do enough searching online, because I didn’t know that they were making a new Star Trek! This Star Trek is supposed to follow Captain Kirk and all of his friends as they go through the academy and beyond. Guess who’s playing the young Spock? Sylar from Heroes!

jennifermorrsionside.jpg

Jennifer Morrison has been confirmed and is, I believe, already filming. Sorry I couldn’t find a larger photo! Apparently Morrison is going to be playing Dr. Carol Marcus. Her character has a son with Captain Kirk! David is his name (I didn’t realize that Kirk had a son!! I really need to get out more!)

Neither Jesse Spencer nor Lisa Edelstein have any movies coming up, but Omar Epps is! He’s finished filming A Day In The Life and it’s been rumored that he’s going to be in Love Can’t Hide as well. Olivia Wilde has finished filming Fix and Hugh, of course, has Night Watchman heading to the screen soon.

No news yet on the writer’s strike, but I’m definitely a bit frustrated that there will be no more House soon! On the other hand, Hugh will get time to spend with his family, which is great! Ugh - two sides to every coin, right?

Wanna Win a Contest?

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Lynn over at House Is Right is having a contest just in time for the holiday season! Wanna win a 30 dollar Amazon gift card? No problem! Just head over here and leave a comment (with a valid e-mail address) on that post, and Lynn will choose a winner at random in a few days! Nice!

As for House and the crew, I’m afriad I have very little information right now. I haven’t heard that Hugh has headed home yet, but he’s extremely private and may have snuck away while no one was watching. The last pic I have of him is from November 4th, when he headed to the No Country for Old Men premiere in L.A.

hughpremiere.jpg

Lisa Edelstein, meanwhile, has been hitting the red carpet fairly heavily. Her last sighting was a week or so ago at the Lint Roller party. Looks like she brought another four legged friend! Awwww.

lisalintroller.jpg

Omar has been off the scene (possibly due to his new baby), as has Jesse Spencer. Jennifer Morrison has been seen here and there.

So what are you buying for your loved one for Christmas? It’s always hard to pick - I stop and wonder, sometimes, what gift House would get Wilson or Cuddy for Christmas - that’s an interesting thought, isn’t it?!

Different House Promo Pics

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Check out these interesting promo shots. They were done by Florian Schneider. Schneider is known for creating photos out of numerous shots. According to his website, he finds photos of backgrounds that he likes and matches the actors up, in the studio, to the way the scene shold be shot. Fox is one of his bigger clients, and he’s got photos of House as well as Nip/Tuck (another of my favorite shows).

These are definitely some different promo’s than we’re used to - my husband (who’s not a Jennifer Morrison fan) actually likes the way she looks in these shots. I think Lisa looks great! And for some reason Omar’s walking away from the building while everyone else is around it - hmmmmm….very peculiar.

See more of Florian’s work here.

The Right Stuff Recap

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

WOW WOW WOW! That was an awesome episode! I was a bit worried about the new people, but I thought it worked! It almost gave an “ER” feel to the show, without really making it seem like ER, because we knew that most of the candidates would be gone quickly. Here’s the quickie recap!

The episode started with Captain Greta Cooper - she was flying (and crashing) a flight simulator because she started seeing strange colors. She later said she was “hearing with her eyes”.

Jump to House - he’s in a room with TONS of fellow candidates, asking them who the picture on the screen is.

House: Take a shot. I’m not going to fire you every time you give a wrong answer.
Applicant: Neville Chamberlain.
House: Wrong. You’re fired.

That’s pretty much how he whittled down candidates. Cuddy told him that he could only hire three, so House fired row D - until a cute girl came out and he says “I’m sorry - I was wrong - it’s not row D, it’s row C that is fired.”

He gets a page - from his own office. He heads to the office and finds Captain Cooper, who dumps $50,000 on his desk in order to cure her. She tells him that everything has to be off the books because she’s in line for NASA, and there are 100 candidates that are completely healthy right behind her waiting to take her place. House asks what’s in it for him, and she explains her symptoms, intriguing him.

He heads back to the fellows and introduces her as Osama bin Laden. He has some of the candidates run diagnostic tests while others break into her house and still others run to wash his car. One catty blonde says that she’s not washing his car and convinces the others to walk off with her. She returns a bit later, having used her wits to get others to quit so that there are fewer people to go against. Meanwhile House has three of the applicants put Cooper into a hyberberic chamber in order to make sure there is enough oxygen in her lungs. She winds up going into v-tach and Kai Penn (Kutner and number 6) brings in the defibrillator paddles, shocking her and causing a fire to break out on her chest. They get the fire out and her heart is now beating.

When they go to House’s office to tell him, he’s looking at something on the computer.

House: What, you’ve never seen the naked female form before?
13: I don’t think she’s seen it spooning with a dolphin.
House: Porpoise - Porpoise - there’s a difference you know.
13: Should we give you a minute?

How many more days?!

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

3house_hallway.jpgAnd the countdown has begun! Just a few more days until Season 4 of House starts! YES! Five days. So, what can you do while you’re waiting for the new season? Well, you can rent all of the old seasons from Blockbuster and watch them…you can ponder how we got an idiot for a President…you can try to figure out how the new O.J. Simpson case is going to go…you can try to figure out what the old doctors will be doing whlie they’re on “hiatus” from the show…you can guess the sex of Omar Epp’s new baby (and the due date)…you can design a new cane for Dr. House…you can organize your closet…you can come organize MY closet (just avoid the outdated clothes that I’ve had since High School), you can bake that all-important fruitcake for the holiday season…you can start writing your holiday lists…you can figure out what you’re going to buy ME for the holidays (thank you - thank you very much)…OR, you can be a good adult and sit and wait patiently for the new season to begin…..

in the words of Hugh Laurie - BUGGER THAT!
