House mentioned in St. Louis Today

by

Gail Pennington, a writer for St. louis today, wrote an article about the best shows on TV on December 4th. She categorizes the hottest shows on TV into groups.

In the most thrills per hour category she lists Heroes, Prison Break, Lost, and of course “House, Fox — House’s drug problems have been a distraction, but the life-or-death stakes (a 6-year-old girl almost loses her limbs to flesh-eating bacteria) have never been higher.”

She goes on to list My name is Earl, The office, How I met your mother, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s anatomy in the Most Laughs per minute category. Her choices for Best ensemble cast incude Lost, Heroes, Greys Anatomy, and Studio 60 on Sunset Strip.

She’s picked some good contenders for best scene-stealer. She says Chandra Wilson in Greys Anatomy has gone a bit soft this season, but at her most wonderfully abrasive, Miranda “The Nazi” Baily is one of prime times unique characters. Then she mentions that Hugh Laurie isn’t just the star of House, he is House. How right she is!

She says Sally field of Brothers and Sisters is the mother of the family and that she could teach all her kids something about charisma. Of course she mentions that Masi Oka of heroes is the heart of the show. I feel the same way, I love his character.

In her best Support category one of the many she lists is Robert Sean Leonard as Wilson in House. Calling him House’s put upon best friend often representing the cranky doctors only human connection.
