I Think It’s Jo!

A short time ago I put up a post here. It was about how Star magazine had a photo of Hugh next to a photo of someone that they believed to be Hugh’s wife, Jo. One wonderful Watching House reader Ali recently left a comment about the post, linking to some photos that were taken of Hugh and Jo about a year and a half ago. Ali didn’t seem to think that it was the same person, but I do!
Take a look at this:
The jaw line is th same, the mouth is the same, and even the ears are the same! I think that this is Jo! Apparently Jo lost a LOT of weight, but I definitely believe, now, that it’s Jo. What do you think?

Boy, if that’s Jo, she sure looks alot different than the pictures I have seen of her!

Okay, maybe this will get posted twice, because the first time it seems that something went wrong, but I’ll post my comment again :).
I still don’t think its Jo. The woman with the sunglasses looks younger than Jo, and from what I can see from the picture, the other woman does not have gray hair and I think Jo does. Maybe if a new picture from Hugh and Jo shows up, we’ll know more about this, hihi.

ok you deducted that this woman is jo.i agree, however look at her neck,in the old picture is short and in the new picture is quite longer.Either way it makes no difference, she is still Hugh Laurie’s wife.

Anzelique - good catch on the neck! In the older pic she looks as though she’s got a lot of weight on her shoulders…I wonder if losing weight can make your neck look longer? I’m not sure! What do you think?

First of all may I say I don’t think that is Jo. There is a resemblance but I agree with Anzelique, unless her neck has grown as well as the weight loss, they appear to be different women.
Also, this may be an unpopular view, but I understand that Jo must be quite shy and don’t want to be in the public eye. But wouldn’t it be nice to see her out supporting Hugh now and again. Before Hugh became “House” he was popular here in the UK, but he was not so hounded by the Paparazzi. It must be difficult for her to have this sudden intrusion into her private life. However, it would be good to see her put on a nice frock and walk down the red carpet, holding her husband’s hand in support, just once. There have been rumours of problems in their marriage and perhaps these rumours would stop if she was seen playing the part of a loving supportive wife. He is mostly seen on his own, with his son or with Stephen Fry. Come on Jo, there are millions of women out there desperate to get there grubby little fingers on your husband. So it’s about time you Showed the world that he has a beautiful loving wife and perhaps they’ll stop speculating.

So, sitting there at awards shows happily clapping, kissing him in congratulations when he wins and beaming in the audience as he gives his speeches isn’t enough? Significant others are just props on red carpets. If she doesn’t want to do that, I respect her for it. It doesn’t really appear that Hugh wants to do it either, but it’s part of his job.

Maybe she doesn’t want to be seen with her husband because these rumors are true. Who knows.
