Let’s Discuss Hair
We’ve only got a few more days left, and I thought we’d have a serious discussion while we were waiting.
Hair.
Specifically, Jennifer Morrison’s hair.
I ran across an interview she did that says that the producers are writing the hair color change into the script. I’m sure that this means that House will have a whole new line-up of blonde jokes to crack. Jennifer has stated that she was getting annoyed at having to have her hair colored every four weeks, and that she wanted to go back to blonde anyway. Here is what Ms. Morrison had to say about her hair-color decision:
“I love the hair. I did it for the Princess Diana film and I called the producers of House and said, ‘I totally want to do whatever is right for the character, but I’d like to go blonde.’ I said, ‘With the changes going on for my character, this might be the right time to make a change in my look.’ I won them over and they decided to write it into the show. I’m a natural blonde but what I have now is actually a shade lighter than my original colour. It’s fun. I look like myself again. I spent 24 years with blonde hair but I’m known for being a brunette.”
First of all, WTF?! She was sick of getting it colored, so she goes LIGHTER?! Any woman knows that it takes more up-keep to keep your hair looking good when it’s lighter, than when you color it darker. Secondly, here is a good example of the difference between the old Cameron and the new Cameron:
I know she “says” she’s a natrual blonde - but I’ve watched some video of her really young, and trust me, it’s NOT that blonde! She also has to recognize that we have fallen in love with the character, and that we, the fans, might prefer having her brunette! Imagine how wierd if would be if Chase went to black hair?!
What do YOU, the fans, think?

I totally agree. I’ve never understood this whole “natural” blonde thing with Jennifer. The blonde hair washes her out and isn’t flattering. She looks much much better as a brunette and it brings out her features. You would think the producers would sort of give her some beauty “advice.”

the brunette made her look warmer, sweeter…basically the typical cameron we have all come to know and love. the blonde makes her look so…stark and cold. if it was a warmer, maybe honey blonde it would be so much better but this is not good.

I like her better as a brunette but I like how the writers are placing the hair color change into the script.
Cuddy has hired Cameron and Chase without telling House, and Wilson makes House think that he’s hallucinating about a blonde Cameron (”merging Chase and Cameron”). ~http://www.housemd-guide.com

Maybe it’s just me, but…why is her hair color of any importance at all? This show is an excellent drama with well-written and well-acted characters. Her strength is in her performance. She could dye it purple or shave it off and it wouldn’t matter at all.
Sorry…*boggle*
Good site, though!
