I honestly don´t know why you are promoting this as we all know that the writers don´t get paid for online purchases of the episodes. It´s your blog and all and I enjoy it very much but I just wanted to say that I think we all should support the writers with the little bit of power we have and not buy from amazon as long the strike isn´t settled.

I haven’t watched it yet, but I find it hilarious that before coming here I visited lots of other sites where the comments are quite unanimous (and vehement) about “Frozen” being the worst episode of season 4. Just to prove, once again, that when it comes to fandom, the meaning of terms like “the best”, “the worst”, “the most liked”, “the most hated”, “the majority of fans” and the like depends immensely on which forums you visit.

Dee - I think they said that it wasn’t the best one because a lot of pepole hated the diagnosis - they thought it was “cheesy”. The people I’ve talked with, though, have loved it because of the dynamics in the episode - between House and Wilson/House and Caty/House and the rest of the team…ect.
Cad - I’m sorry that you feel I’m wrong in giving people a place to watch the episodes. Almost half of the search words that led people here yesterday were those looking for a place to download the episode, so I was trying to fill the need.

Hello!!!
Well I’m here to say that this website is so good!!
The best I’ve ever seen until now about House!!
I’m such a big fan of this tv show!!
And I think Hugh Laurie is really good as an actor (besides, he’s very beautifull =] )
Well, I don’t know your name, but I’m here to give you the congratulations for your job on this website!!
Keep doing it, ok?!
Kisses
P.S.:my English is not too good because I’m from Brazil and I’m not practicing so much, but I think you’ll understand what I’m traying to say - I hope so!!)

Hi thanks, just like to say it’s only available to buy in the US.

I can clearly see the reason WHY you posted it. But I´d rather watch the epi for free somewhere and buy it when the strike is settled or later when it comes as DVD than buying it from amazon NOW. There are places to watch, you know
I don´t wanna link to another blog because I don´t know whether you´d approve of it.
I´m someone of those people having to rely on the web to watch it, because I´m not in the US, so I´m happy there are Americans who try to make it available to others.

I want to second what “Cad” had to say. The reason that SAG (which includes pretty much everybody with a speaking role in “House M.D.”) has been supporting the WGA 100% is that they understand that the agreement reached with the writers will affect them as well.
To download a program while the creative talents who bring us those programs are fighting for their fair share of the profits that the corporations are raking in from digital downloads is short-term thinking. Please support the writers by NOT downloading any program, anywhere, until the writers get a contract guaranteeing them their fair share of the money being made from their creativity and hard work. Thank you.

It always comes to money… eventually, isn’t it?
Sad…

Like I implied, we’ve been talking to different segments of the fandom. They didn’t only say it wasn’t the best one; they said it was the very worst, with capital letters and all. Most of the complaints were precisely about Cate/House and House/Wilson, basically saying that it was all a unnecessarily explicit rehash of things we already know about both House and Wilson. Also, lots and lots of complaints about the cable thing and the new ducklings, and Cuddy’s failed attempt to move House by fake-firing Cameron.
All I’m saying is, be extremely careful when saying things like “what House fans and critics alike are calling”. Chances are you’ll be horribly wrong, deceived by the way the Internet is organised. (That’s Internet’s great paradox: it allows you to talk in real time with someone on the other side of the planet, but it tends to keep you in touch with people that, although from different cultural backgrounds, think pretty much like you do.) Plus, the people who don’t fall in your description of “majority of fandom” or “unanimity in the fandom” are likely to feel alienated and resent you, when it’s really not their fault (or yours) that it’s not humanly pssible for you to check all niches of the House fandom before posting.
As for my personal opinion, now that I have seen the episode… I do see why people would feel that the Cate/House and House/Wilson scenes were an unnecessary rehash. I didn’t mind them that much, I liked those scenes up to a point, but then I started feeling they were somewhat heavy-handed. I can’t stand the new ducklings, so I was actually glad they didn’t appear much in this episode. And yeah, Cuddy’s plan was pretty silly, but she’s been so weak and pathetic lately, I actually thought that was a step up. And by the way, I didn’t think the diagnosis was cheesy at all, I liked it.

Fox network will be rebroadcasting “Frozen” on Friday, February 15th at 9pm. So for those of you who missed it after the Super Bowl, here’s an opportunity to see it without staying up ’till midnight before a work day (like I had to do, dammit!)
