Robert Sean Leonard Interview and Tonight’s Episode
You know, I’ve been looking all over the net for good interviews from Robert Sean Leonard - he doesn’t tend to open up much. Imagine my surprise when, before dropping my 3 year old off for her two hours of preschool, I see a TV Guide that has an interview with Robert Sean Leonard! WOW! Here are some of the highlights of the interview:
Is there any ad-libbing in those priceless House-Wilson Exchanges?
Our writers are far more witty and smart than we are, so we don’t need to improvise.
Why have you described (Hugh Laurie) as an 8-year-old?
Here’s an example: We went to a benefit the other night and they showed a scene from House. Hugh sat with his fingers in hie ears. It’s one thing not to watch yourself - it’s another to hum “London Bridge” with your fingers in your ears in public.
So it’s not as difficult to be friends with Hugh Laurie as it is with House?
Oh, no. Hugh’s a great guy to work with and really fun. Anyone who can channel Peter Cook is OK with me.
Is there tension between Jennifer Morrison and former fiance Jesse Spenser on the set?
They’re quite civil. They’re either very professional or very mature. If I broke up with someone on the set, there would be pans flying. They’ll hate me for saying this, but they’re both incredibly sweet.
There is plenty more on the interview, including a little piece that says that Robert met Cynthia Nixon when he was 14, and that she’s one of his oldest friends. Seriously, it’s a good interview, and well worth buying the magazine for (and I hardly ever buy magazines).
Tonight’s a new House episode! Who knows how many more new ones we’ll get with the writer’s strike, so we should enjoy it while it’s here! Here’s the synopsis on the episode tonight.
House is recruited by the CIA to help diagnose a deathly ill agent with an unknown illness. The agent¹s medical case is being spearheaded by Dr. Samira Terzi (guest star Michael Michele), who offers up very little information about the agent¹s history or previous assignments. With limited information to go on, House uses some unorthodox methods to try to crack the code and determine a diagnosis in time to save his mystery patient¹s life. Meanwhile, Foreman faces resistance from the remaining six fellowship candidates when they question his judgment and argue over the diagnosis of a female drag car racer who passed out after a race.

I wonder if she’ll look like she used to when she was on E.R. I’m actually a bit of a Michael Michele fan. There aren’t many actresses that can pull off strong characters like she can. Angelina Jolie is one, and Michael Michele is another. So we’ll see how she fares against House! It should be interesting to say the least!

What is the exact link to where I could find this interview? If it is only found in the TV Guide Magazine, what issue is it?

I can completely see Hugh doing the London bridges deal, this is the Fry and Laurie Hugh I know and love. Goofy! I don’t know about anybody else but I absolutely did NOT see it coming when Michael Michele’s character turned out to be a lousy doctor. I thought [and was hoping] she’d turn into a regular, I really like her too. Since it’s on topic, we just did a House quote/Hugh Laurie video post at this link if anyone’s interested: http://hoeno.blogspot.com/2007/12/greg-house-md-on-sex-during-civil-war.html
I don’t think that will be picked up as SPAM or anything-hope not anyway. Great blog by the way Randi.
