We Have A Winner!
We’ve got a winner in the House Flame Walking Cane Contest! The judges (I had quite a few of them this time, from friends to other House fanatics) all chose this one as their number one entry:

Which guest star should appear on House M.D.?
I think Jack White of the White Stripes would be a very cool guest star, kind of in the vein of Dave Matthews’ appeaerance: a musician who sometimes acts (White was good in a small part in Cold Mountain).
So what kind of story would it be and what role would he play?
Since Matthews already played a musician, White would have to be something else: a slacker maybe, a young homeless guy who’s like House (sarcastic, well-read, gets House’s jokes and one-ups him a bit) but who hasn’t found his one thing (that for House is diagnostic medicine: without that, what would House’s life be like?) He comes into the clinic because he’s poor and has strange symptoms, but unlike other clinic patients, he actually makes House smile, even makes him crack up: they “get” each other. Then House realizes his symptoms are actually interesting as well, and we’re off…It turns out House has made a friend and comes in to chat with him: movies, books, nurses, and the like. Then, of course, it turns but his disease is fatal, and he will die soon. Because he can’t stand to die slowly in a hospital, he then disappears and House is left alone again: in a way, solving the puzzle lost him a chance at friendship.

WOW! LOVE Anne’s storyline! She really deserved to win. She thought the entire storyline through from beginning to end! EXCELLENT job Anne, really made me want to see this become an actual episode on House!
