WE HAVE A WINNER

by Randi

I’m not like those other sites that say they have a winner and never show HOW the person won. This entry was written by Melanie and was chosen by my panel of 3 as the winner:

Why do I love House? There are many reasons why I love House, but I think the main one is because he is a good man. True, he can be very rude, mean, and will do anything to get what he wants. But, the bottom line is he truly cares about and would do anything for his patients. He does everthing in his power to help his patient. He doesn’t stop until he’s figured out the puzzle. I think anyone who has a doctor like that is very lucky. I also love him because he is a little damaged. He is like a little boy that does anything and everything, good and bad, to get attention. Deep down he just wants what we all want. To love and be loved.

What killed all three of us was the last few lines - “He is like a little boy that does anythign and everything, good and bad, to get attention. Deep down he just wants what we all want. To love and be loved.”

Congratulations Melanie! You are the winner of the House Flame Walking Cane from Fashionable Canes! Use it in good health LOL…

There were some great entries! SO many, in fact, that Fashionable Canes has agreed to give us ANOTHER Flame Walking cane to give away!

THAT’S RIGHT! It’s not over! More after the break (to save space)

For this round, the panel of 3, Scott, Danielle and I (Danielle will be my co-writer as soon as the season starts and is the friend that got me hooked on House!), want to see how creative and resourceful true House fans can be.

Every episode spotlights on one disease or condition that is a REAL disease or condition. There may be little twists about it, but it’s real enough.

In order to win a Flame Walking Cane, we want YOU to come up with a real disease that you think Dr. House should have to diagnose.

The winner gets not only the walking cane, but we will also make sure that the Executive Producers and creative writers recieve the idea!

That’s right!

We can’t guarantee that it’ll be used, but we CAN guarantee that they’ll see it.

So come up with the best disease or condition that YOU think the good doc should have to diagnose. Send us the name and a brief synopsis of what it is, so that we can see how it would be tricky for House. The contest starts now and ends on Sunday at 6 p.m. EST. (I hate long contests).

Ready?

Set?

GO!

  3. 2xKnight Says:

    Atkins Syndrome–

Caused by prolonged lack of carbohydrates. As the name suggests, overenthusiastic participation in a low carb diet can be a primary factor. The patient goes into ketoacidosis. Can be easily misdiagnosed as diabetes or a complication thereof.

That’s just off the top of my head. I have no idea if there’s a real condition like that. *L*

  4. Chastity Johnson Says:

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (which I have), type 4 (which I don’t have). Affecting approximately 1 in 100,000 people, it is clinically serious, reducing life expectancy to around 40 years. Joint symptoms are usually limited to the fingers or toes, but the delicate skin is joined by fragile blood vessel walls and organ membranes, with a tendency to rupture or develop aneurysms…it would be an edge of your seat show, for sure!
