Will House and Hugh Win Tonight?

by

Both House and Hugh are up for awards tonight at the Golden Globes, but will they win? Hugh has won two Golden Globes, but it’s been two years since he’s won, so here’s hoping that this is his year! He’s going up for Best Actor in a Television Drama against:

Gabriel Byrne - In Treatment
Michael C. Hall - Dexter
Jon Hamm - Mad Men
Jonathan Rhys Meyers - The Tudors

I’m a huge fan of Gabriel Byrne, even though I’ve never seen In Treatment, I think he’s an amazing actor. Do I think he should win over Hugh? Of course not! But that doesn’t stop me from enjoying his acting skills. As for the other three - I’ve never seen their shows either, but it would be difficult for me to find an actor in a television series that is as good as Hugh is in House.

The actual show has never won a Golden Globe! How sad is this?! This year House is nominated for Best Television Drama and is going against:

Dexter
In Treatment
Mad Men
True Blood

House lost to Mad Men last year, which actually really bummed me out! I’m hoping that this year we’ll get to see House win!

Did you ever wonder what the stars eat when they’re at these types of award shows? At the Golden Globes, the cast and crew of House that is there will be dining on:

To start with, they’ll have an appetizer of California organic field greens with white asparagus, crisp apricot dill goat cheese in Phyllo along with a poached pear with a maple syrup apple cider vinaigrette.

For a main course? Grilled prime tenderloin of beef coated in crisp green tea pearls, sauteed aromatic Asian spice marinated sea bass in a sherry wine yuzu pepper sauce, w/ Grilled king oyster mushroom, jicama, romanesco, and potato onion croquette.

And for dessert? Golden chocolate globe with organic yogurt Pistachio mousse.

Photos should start popping up around 6:30 EST or so, and I’ll be here to post them all up for us all to enjoy! I’m sure Jennifer Morrison will be there, and Olivia Wilde, and of course Hugh and Lisa. Will Robert Sean Leonard show up? How about Jesse and Omar (eh - we could skip Omar)….do you think the ladies of House will have better gowns this time?

See you all at 6:30 EST!!!

I would love to see the ladies of House in very elegant, old Hollywood-style dresses, and I’d love to see Jennifer get rid of those extensions. I think they were too “Jessica Simpson” like.
I am SO hoping that Hugh and House win again. I do hope the entire cast is there.. yes, even Omar as long as he has a smile on his face this time.
I have another comment about Jennifer… does it always look like she is smitten with Hugh, or is that just me? Maybe they just have a really good friendship outside of work, and that shows, or maybe she worships the ground he walks on, but whatever it is.. she is certainly enamored with him it seems.
I hope that with Jennifer being at the forefront like she has been lately.. that will carry over to the show and she will have more airtime. I really do miss her and Chase.

My feeling is Mad Men is gonna win. It seems like it always does and that Jon Hamm dude seems like he is always winning too. But I really do want to see House win this year.

“Maybe they just have a really good friendship outside of work, and that shows, or maybe she worships the ground he walks on, but whatever it is.. she is certainly enamored with him it seems.” I think it’s a mixture of both, and I guess Hugh is a bit of a role model for all of his colleagues. Anyway, it’s really cute how happy she was for him, when he received the award. And I like the fact, that he gave the show they won for House to her *g*
I have no idea what to expect from the Golden Globes. Of course, I hope for House and Hugh to win, but I don’t know how good or bad the competitors are, because I have only seen The Tudors so far (which was okay, but I’m not exactly a fan). I’ll keep my fingers crossed for House and Hugh!
At least I’m sure they will all enjoy dinner very much - I know I would, it sounds all so tasty, especially the dessert… yummie!

I just watched Jennifer and Olivia walk in on the red carpet for the Golden Globes…. They look stunning!!! I couldn’t imagine either of them looking prettier. WOW!
